Brazilian Cherry has a sapwood which is gray-white. However, its heartwood is salmon red to orange brown when fresh, becoming russet or reddish brown when seasoned. Brazilian Cherry, also called Jatoba, has a medium to coarse texture and beautiful natural patina. Its rich color, outstanding hardness, and overall toughness make it highly popular choice.

Flooring, cabinetry, shipbuilding, and furniture.
