Santos Mahogany
Attributes
Santos Mahogany is a native of South America and is dark reddish brown in color. Its grain features striped figuring in quartersawn selections; the texture is very fine and even. Santos Mahogany is one of the hardest and most durable wood flooring species. It is 200% harder than Douglas fir and 50% harder than maple.
