Red Oak

Unfinished Engineered

Attributes

Engineered hardwoods are built with multiple ply layers that are cross layered, glued and pressed together. The decorative wood species fused on top is commonly known as the wear layer. Red Oak is native to North America, and both its heartwoods and sapwoods have a reddish tone, with the sapwood being slightly lighter. With more than 200 species in North America alone, there are wide ranges of color and grain, which is further differentiated by the growing season variations.
