Maple

Unfinished Engineered

Attributes

Engineered hardwoods are built with multiple ply layers that are cross layered, glued and pressed together. The decorative wood species fused on top is commonly known as the wear layer. Hard maple is also called sugar maple, hence its scientific name, Acer saccharum. Maple's sapwood is pale to creamy white, whereas its heartwood is creamy white to light reddish brown. Maple has a very subdued, closed grain with moderate figuring and uniform texture. It is native to North America.
